Halton Women's Place's first annual male ally event is taking place at Loyola SS, Oakville

- April 11th 2018 -

We are so excited to have Chuck Winters joining us as the keynote speaker, followed by a youth panel discussion on the concepts of male allyship and healthy masculinity.

Chuck Winters (former Toronto Argo, Huddle Up, youth coach) grew up in the tough Herman Garden projects of Detroit, Michigan. While with the Toronto Argonauts, Chuck won a Grey Cup in 2004 and started at every defensive back & linebacker position on the defense. He played seven seasons with the Toronto Argonauts, being selected as a team captain twice in those seven years.

Currently, Chuck is a spokesperson and board member for numerous community organizations. A few notable are the Argo’s Huddle-Up Against Bullying program, Huddle-Up & Make the Call gender based violence program, Haven house a domestic violence shelter and co-owner of Last Play Training. Last Play Training is a mentorship and training organization geared toward training young inspiring athletes to work hard and stay determined in the quest for success. Also, Chuck is a football and basketball coach for his local high school and community based sports organizations.
