Talk to Me! Communication Challenge

Role Playing Game

1 h2211 Brant Street

Service Description

In this fun and eye-opening role-playing game, kids will explore how we communicate beyond just words. In pairs, one partner will speak using only their voice—no facial expressions or body language—while the other can only use body language to respond—no words at all! Then they’ll switch roles and see how it feels. In the second part, kids will practice active vs. passive listening in groups. One partner will show they’re truly listening (eye contact, nodding, responding), while the other listens passively. Then they’ll switch and reflect on the difference. Through play and discussion, kids will learn: What makes communication clear and respectful How body language, tone, and listening skills matter Why active listening helps build stronger, more supportive friendships Supplies needed: None! Ideal for: Ideal for: Summer Camps, After school programs, Libraries, Community Centers
