Red, Yellow, Green Relay
We’ll take care of the teaching—just bring the materials!
Service Description
In this hands-on and thoughtful activity, kids will learn how to recognize the difference between healthy, unhealthy, and abusive friendship dynamics—so they can build stronger, kinder relationships in their lives. The program begins with a walk-through activity: signs are placed along a path, each showing a different example of something a friend might say or do. In front of each sign is a bucket. Some actions might seem kind and supportive, while others are confusing, hurtful, or clearly wrong. Each participant is given three flags—green for healthy, yellow for unhealthy, and red for abusive—and a set amount of time to place their flags in the buckets they think match the behavior. Afterwards, the group gathers to discuss: Why did you choose that flag? What made that comment or action feel okay—or not okay? Through open conversation, kids will build awareness of common red flags in friendships and better understand how to tell the difference between positive and harmful relationship behaviors. Supplies needed: none! Ideal for: Summer camps, sports camps, after school activities, community centers
