DV & Trauma-Informed Care
This 3-hour training presentation is perfect for staff PD and College & University Classrooms.
Service Description
This presentation offers an overview of both domestic violence and trauma-informed care. In part one, we cover what domestic violence is, the cycle of abuse, and the process of seeking help. In part two, we address the topic of trauma through an understanding of the neurobiological models of trauma. We identify the two main ways trauma harms (physiological & psychological), and the six principles of trauma-informed care. We end on a case study to apply the principles.
