Our educators had the privilege of speaking to members of Domestic Violence units across Ontario at the OPC. In order to wrap up their 2017 Ontario Domestic Violence Coordinators Network Annual Conference, Halton Women's Place public educators were invited to provide an overview of the successful program run in the region and provided insight on how other regions could collaborate with their own shelters and transitional housing units in order to develop a similar initiative. With the message that education = prevention, many DV officers left feeling inspired to provide as many resources and support to the children and students of their communities.
